About Us (Actually, it's just all about me.)
As a professional caricature artist, my work feels like play. I don't go to an office - I go to parties! I get to draw funny pictures. Even better, I meet all kinds of fun, interesting people, like motorcycle loving grandparents with thier biker children and grandchildren at a Harley Davidson event, or adorable llittle kids dressed as fairies and ninjas at Halloween.
Caricaturing live is a joyful experience for me, so I'm always smiling as I draw. Most people can't help smiling back. However, a few will get nervous, and say to the crowd watching over my shoulder, "She's enjoying this too much! I'm worried. What is she drawing!?"
I kid around with people as I draw to put them at ease and to get a sense of their personalities. As we talk, I watch for fleeting facial expressions: a crooked smile, a raised eyebrow, a dimple? I look for any little quirk that might help me capture the spirit and likeness of that unique person.
I know a caricature is successful when I see the smile on a person's face when I show the drawing to him. Ta-da! Best of all is when I make people laugh - then I know they are having as much fun as I am!

I draw at parties and special events in the Boston, Massachusetts area. I love drawing caricatures; I like the challenge of getting a likeness while finding some humor in the drawing as well.
